Top 5 Features of the 2020 Jeep Wrangler

Jeep traveling through the woods near Kerrville, TX
As a stellar off-roading vehicle, the 2020 Jeep Wrangler comes in two styles: the two-door version can seat four people while the four-door Wrangler Unlimited can seat up to five people. There are eight trims available (Sport, Sport S, Black & Tan, Willys, Sport Altitude, Sahara, Rubicon, and Sahara Altitude), many of which come with stellar features. Keep reading to learn more about five of the vehicle's top features.

Superior Engine Options

The 2020 Jeep Wrangler comes with several engine options. The standard 3.6-liter V-6 engine produces 285 horsepower, while the optional 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine produces 270 horsepower. What's new for the vehicle is a 3.0-liter turbodiesel V-6 engine that produces 260 horsepower. This engine option is only available on four-door models. All engines come paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, but only the 3.6-liter V-6 has a six-speed manual transmission option.

Excellent Off-Roading Capabilities

The Wrangler's solid-axle suspension makes it ideal if you're looking for an off-roading vehicle. No matter what type of terrain you tackle, the Wrangler can handle rocks, holes, and bumps. Depending on the model, you get between 9.7 and 10.8 inches of ground clearance, so you can easily maneuver the vehicle. All models also feature a two-speed transfer case, which helps the engine's torque for low-speed driving. Other standard features include protective skid plates and tow hooks, while optional features include limited-slip and locking differentials as well as an electronic disconnecting sway bar.

Premium Interior

No matter if you opt for the two- or four-door Wrangler, you get plenty of interior space. The front seats are comfortable and give you an expansive view of the road. Front-seat travelers also garner plenty of head- and legroom, so tall people have plenty of room. The four-door Wrangler offers more legroom in the back when compared to the two-door models.

Spacious Cargo Area

Just as the vehicle offers a plush interior, the Wrangler's cargo area is expansive. The two-door model has 13 cubic feet of cargo space when its seats are upright and 32 cubic feet when you fold them down. With the four-door model, you get 32 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats upright, while folding down these seats give you 72 cubic feet of space. These numbers for the four-door models are some of the best in its class.

Easy-to-Use Technology

Regardless of the touch screen size, the Wrangler's Uconnect infotainment is easy to use. Its menus are simple to comprehend, and the touch screen responds quickly. If you prefer, there are physical buttons and knobs found on the dashboard in which you can adjust audio and climate controls. The base Wrangler has a 5-inch touch-screen display along with one USB port, eight speakers, and Bluetooth connectivity. Available upgrades include a 7- or 8.4-inch touch-screen display, navigation, satellite radio, a nine-speaker audio system, and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. If you have any additional questions or wish to get behind the wheel of the 2020 Jeep Wrangler, reach out to the professionals at Crenwelge Motor Sales Inc. Take on Texas Back Roads With These Jeep Models

Jeep and the Texas backcountry are perfect for each other. These rugged vehicles easily handle anything the area has in store. Here are a few things to consider when looking for the perfect Jeep to handle your next backcountry adventure. more Renegade While the Jeep Renegade is comfortable on a paved road, it is more at home once you turn off the paved road. Use the vehicle's Selec-Terrain Traction Management System as you maneuver through the backcountry. You can choose between five different settings by turning the dial on the dashboard. The five settings include auto, snow, sand, mud, and, for added fun, rock. You can also use the hill descent control to stay in control regardless of how steep a hill you work down. Beyond the traction abilities, the Renegade is trail-rated with water fording to protect sensitive electrical systems. There is also quite a bit of ground clearance, allowing you to clear any obstacle. Wrangler The legend of the Jeep Wrangler grows as soon as you get off-road. The best Wrangler for off-road fun in the backcountry is the Rubicon. It comes with 33-inch all-terrain tires. The standard rock rails help protect the door sills from debris as you enjoy your adventure. The winch-capable steel bumpers have removable end caps so you can have even more fun. The Rubicon also includes a 4:1 low gear ratio that helps with the performance and handling under rough conditions. The electronic sway bar disconnect system lets you disconnect the sway bar, so your front wheels drop and compress for better suspension on harder terrain. Traveling in the backcountry is fun, but it can be dangerous. If you find a disabled vehicle while you are having fun, use the front or rear heavy duty towing hooks to pull them to safety. Grand Cherokee The Jeep Grand Cherokee is perfect for taking your friends and family on your next adventure. The powerful V-8 engine gives you enough force to get through any obstacle. You can easily switch from pavement to off-road with the Quadra-Trac four-wheel-drive system. It is designed to provide you with peak performance regardless of the weather or terrain. You can also use the vehicle to haul your favorite outdoor toys up to 7,200 pounds. If you are planning an off-road trip, consider a Grand Cherokee with the Selec-Terrain system. It gives you the ability to adjust the vehicle for coming terrain changes with a quick turn of your wrist. The system adjusts the power distribution to all four wheels to give you the most traction possible for the terrain. As with both the Wrangler and Renegade, the Grand Cherokee is trail rated. It has the same water fording abilities to protect sensitive systems. The undercarriage skid plates protect your vehicle while you enjoy off-road fun. The skid plates are available for the Trailhawk trim. If you want to narrow your choices down further, stop by Crenwelge Motor Sales.
