They also have a great selection of local beers made in Texas and always served cold. While you're here, you should definitely try one of their steaks. They're grilled to perfection. In fact, everything they serve from their scratch kitchen will delight your senses. Stop in on Friday or Saturday to hear live music while you enjoy your drink. Fredericksburg Brewing Company A staple in the downtown Fredericksburg community and one of the oldest brewpubs in Texas, the Fredericksburg Brewing Company is a great place to grab a drink with your friends. You can order one of their six award-winning beers available on tap, which includes German lagers, fresh ales, and more. Seasonal specialties are also available, so you'll have to come back to try the newest selections when they arrive. A full menu of German food will supply you with all the tasty eats you want while you sip on your tasty brew. If you want to stay a little longer, there are 12 rooms for rent above the brewpub. The Stable Cocktail & Coffee Bar Located only a few blocks from Main Street, The Stable Cocktail & Coffee Bar is open seven days a week. Locals will tell you this place has some of the best cocktails in town. Their bar is stocked with over 100 spirits for making a variety of delicious specialty drinks and some well-known ones too. If you're not sure what you want, try the tasting board. You can get tasting boards of spirits, beers, wines, and even meats and cheeses. With a full coffee and espresso set up, you'll also be able to enjoy a hot coffee beverage. Elk Store Winery & Distillery Elk Store Winery & Distillery is one of Fredericksburg's premier wine and spirits bars, Cocktails are crafted from their own distilled moonshine, gin, rum, and charter. In addition to the selection of spirits, you'll find a variety of over 100 internationally chosen wines. You can enjoy them by the glass or by the bottle. Explore the Beauty of Fredericksburg, TX During A Scenic Drive

People often call the area around Fredericksburg "Texas Hill Country." Its beautiful, diverse landscape has rolling limestone hills, clear rivers and streams, and many types of wildlife. Here are some of the best places to take a scenic drive and explore the beauty of Fredericksburg. more Lost Maples Lost Maples State Natural Area covers 2,174.2 acres along the Sabinal River. It's in Vanderpool, about an hour and 20 minutes away from Fredericksburg. The maples in the park display beautiful colors in fall, and the countryside looks peaceful and attractive. You can take amazing photos, have a picnic, go camping at the natural area, watch local bird species, go fishing, swim, and more. You can use one of the 30 campsites, which are equipped with water and electricity. This place has several species of oak, bigtooth maple, mesquite, sycamore, Texas mountain laurel, Texas persimmon, wild grape, redbud, Texas madrone, and prickly pear. It also has many types of grass, brush, and ferns. It looks awesome all year, but you should be prepared for lots of fellow visitors in fall. Willow City Loop The Willow City Loop is about 15 miles long, and it looks amazing in March and April when wild bluebonnets, Texas's state flowers, bloom. You can also see Indian paintbrush, coreopsis, phlox, sunflowers, Mexican poppies, fire wheels, winecups, yellow and white daisies, horsemint, verbena, and more. It's about 13 miles from Fredericksburg, off SR 16. Cows often graze by the side of the road, and you should watch for crossing cattle. The views are extraordinary all year, and you can see rolling hills and deep, rugged canyons. You can also view jagged cliffs and meandering streams. Visit Harry's on the Loop for some snacks. The Swiss Alps of Texas This drive is around 100 miles, and it goes over hills that are up to 2,400 feet above sea level. It crosses the Medina and Sabinal rivers, and you can see deep canyons formed by the Nueces and Frio rivers, large rock faces, and lots of greenery all year. Most of this scenic drive is in Leakey, about an hour and a half away. Bandera, the cowboy capital of Texas, is nearby, and you can tour a dude ranch or go swimming or tubing in one of the rivers in the area. Enchanted Rock This enormous pink granite rock rises 425 feet above the ground, and it covers 640 acres. The Tonkawa Indians believed that it had spiritual powers, and there's a cave inside the rock. Artifacts up to 11,000 years old have been found there, and it's only about 20 minutes from Fredericksburg. Camping is allowed, and many people stargaze or go rock climbing. There's a nature trail, exhibits about the history and ecology of the area, a picnic area, and a park store. On a scenic drive, you can relax and explore the area around Fredericksburg. You can also learn more about the land nearby and the local culture. The 13th Annual Blues Festival at Luckenbach Texas in Fredericksburg is a great event for those who love the blues. The festival is family-friendly and has some great acts booked throughout the day. Tickets are on sale for $30, and children under eight get in for free. Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival From May 22-24, this event runs from 6 p.m. to Midnight on Friday; 11 a.m. to Midnight on Saturday; Noon to 6 p.m. on Sunday. This Memorial Day weekend festival is a great time for all. The festival hosts live music, games, and crafts for kids. There is plenty of food and fun to be had. Fredericksburg Fourth of July Parade The annual Fourth of July Parade is a great time worth saving the date for. The parade gets set up behind the Gillespie County Courthouse and gets started at the corner of Main St and Adams St. The parade travels east three blocks on Main Street before it takes a U-turn at Washington Street near the Nimitz Museum. The parade continues west on Main Street for another eight blocks where it ends at Bowie Street. The parade is a great way to enjoy Independence Day, and the city even puts on a firework display at night. Oktoberfest Fredericksburg, TX The 40th anniversary of Fredericksburg's Oktoberfest comes from October 2, 3, & 4, 2020. Located at 100 West Main Street, Fredericksburg, Texas. The festival is in celebration of the cities German heritage. Great German music, food, and drink will be available throughout the festival, and there is plenty of excellent activities for children. The festival has a large assortment of vendors and has been a successful event for the last 40 years. Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest Oct 24, 2020, is the annual Fredericksburg Food & Wine Fest, where you can find great food, craft beer, and fantastic wine. The festival has lots of vendors selling all sorts of products and showcasing their food or beverages. The festival has live music for entertainment and is a great event that you won't want to miss out on. The Food & Wine Fest is held at the Marktplatz in Downtown Fredericksburg.
