After the parade, head to Fredericksburg Marktplatz for the AfterGlow party. The party is free and features food, local wine, shopping, and entertainment. Be sure to stop and have your picture taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus too. Make a Toast When the holidays approach, the local vineyards and tasting rooms are adorned with Christmas lights that beckon you to toast the season with a glass of wine at the annual Christmas Wine Affair. Take the Holiday Wine Tour where you'll enjoy tastings of local wine, enjoy the beautiful light displays, and participate in holiday-themed activities. Have a seat in front of the fireplace at the wineries, snack on special treats, and sip on your favorite vino. Listen to the Christmas carolers sing festive tunes or join in the fun and sing along. The wine trail tour is self-guided and includes tastings at participating wineries. A limited number of tickets are available and must be purchased online. Shop Down Main Street During the holiday season, Marketplatz on Main Street is aglow with twinkling lights and a 30-foot Christmas tree that will leave you in awe.
