Tim Crenwelge, the 2025 Chairman of the Texas Automobile Dealers Association (TADA), is a third-generation auto dealer with a lifelong commitment to the industry and his community. He played a pivotal role in founding the Texas Leadership Network, formerly the Texas Dealer Academy, which trains future dealership leaders—many of whom now serve on TADA’s board.
His leadership has spanned across decades, including major roles in advertising, dealer education, and legislative advocacy. He helped build a nine-story TADA headquarters near the Texas Capitol, enhancing the industry’s legislative presence.
Crenwelge has faced and navigated through three major economic crises—the late 1980s banking collapse, the 2008 recession, and the 2020 pandemic—each time showing resilience and innovation, including protecting jobs and maintaining operations during COVID-19.
Beyond business, Tim has been a dedicated public servant in Fredericksburg, Texas, serving as city council member and mayor to preserve the town’s cultural integrity. He and his family have been recognized for their community contributions.
As chairman, Tim is focused on protecting the auto industry from legislative threats, promoting unity, and urging dealers to stay informed and engaged.
