Take on Texas Back Roads With These Jeep Models

Jeep and the Texas backcountry are perfect for each other. These rugged vehicles easily handle anything the area has in store. Here are a few things to consider when looking for the perfect Jeep to handle your next backcountry adventure. more Renegade While the Jeep Renegade is comfortable on a paved road, it is more at home once you turn off the paved road. Use the vehicle's Selec-Terrain Traction Management System as you maneuver through the backcountry. You can choose between five different settings by turning the dial on the dashboard. The five settings include auto, snow, sand, mud, and, for added fun, rock. You can also use the hill descent control to stay in control regardless of how steep a hill you work down. Beyond the traction abilities, the Renegade is trail-rated with water fording to protect sensitive electrical systems. There is also quite a bit of ground clearance, allowing you to clear any obstacle. Wrangler The legend of the Jeep Wrangler grows as soon as you get off-road. The best Wrangler for off-road fun in the backcountry is the Rubicon. It comes with 33-inch all-terrain tires. The standard rock rails help protect the door sills from debris as you enjoy your adventure. The winch-capable steel bumpers have removable end caps so you can have even more fun. The Rubicon also includes a 4:1 low gear ratio that helps with the performance and handling under rough conditions. The electronic sway bar disconnect system lets you disconnect the sway bar, so your front wheels drop and compress for better suspension on harder terrain. Traveling in the backcountry is fun, but it can be dangerous. If you find a disabled vehicle while you are having fun, use the front or rear heavy duty towing hooks to pull them to safety. Grand Cherokee The Jeep Grand Cherokee is perfect for taking your friends and family on your next adventure. The powerful V-8 engine gives you enough force to get through any obstacle. You can easily switch from pavement to off-road with the Quadra-Trac four-wheel-drive system. It is designed to provide you with peak performance regardless of the weather or terrain. You can also use the vehicle to haul your favorite outdoor toys up to 7,200 pounds. If you are planning an off-road trip, consider a Grand Cherokee with the Selec-Terrain system. It gives you the ability to adjust the vehicle for coming terrain changes with a quick turn of your wrist. The system adjusts the power distribution to all four wheels to give you the most traction possible for the terrain. As with both the Wrangler and Renegade, the Grand Cherokee is trail rated. It has the same water fording abilities to protect sensitive systems. The undercarriage skid plates protect your vehicle while you enjoy off-road fun. The skid plates are available for the Trailhawk trim. If you want to narrow your choices down further, stop by Crenwelge Motor Sales. We will gladly let you explore all of your favorites until you find the perfect Jeep for your adventure.   Image via Jeep.com

Have your children outgrown sharing the back seat without an issue? Check out the 2020 Chrysler Voyager, the ideal minivan for any family. Don't back out on the carpool for lack of space. Bring everybody to their next practice or game with ease and have fun. Pack up your family and take off on a much-needed vacation from your daily routine. more Entertainment Keeping everyone happy in the van is important, whether you are going across town or out of state. The 2020 Chrysler Voyager LX solves the boredom problem. Find your favorite station on SiriusXM or use the Bluetooth connection to let them access favorite apps. The integrated voice controls mean you can adjust things for your passengers without taking your eyes off the road. If you are planning a longer trip, ask about the available DVD player. When you add the DVD player to the vehicle, it does not take up extra space. Instead, the movies play through an integrated player with the screen opening from the ceiling. Let your kids pack their favorite movies and listen to them laugh as the miles of highway pass. The van's built-in active noise cancellation feature means that they will not have to turn the movie up loud as the sounds from the outside stay outside. Space Everyone has plenty of space in both Voyager trims. If you choose the L trim, the second- and third-row seats are bench seats. The LX features second-row bucket seats that allow your passengers to recline and rest during your journey. If you don't need all seven seats, fold the third-row bench seat into the floor and make sure you pack all of the essentials and fun gear for your trip. If any of your equipment needs to charge on the road, there is a 12-volt DC connection in the cargo area. For additional storage, consider adding the available second-row storage bins. These bins fit in the floor between the first- and second-row seats. They are a good place for secure storage of sensitive items such as purses and jackets when you arrive at your destination or during a long rest break. Safety Keeping everyone safe on the road is a priority no matter how long you are in the van. Chrysler gives you an array of available safety options to ease your mind. Add the available blind-spot monitoring system for an extra set of eyes on a busy highway. It alerts you through audio and visual cues if someone is in your blind spot before you attempt a lane change. The available cross-traffic alert warns you if someone or something is approaching the van before you pull out of your parking spot. There are also airbags throughout the vehicle to protect you if something happens. Are you daydreaming of your next quiet ride or already looking at ideas for your next vacation? Bring the family with you as you visit Crenwelge Motor Sales. Our friendly staff looks forward to getting you into your new Chrysler Voyager today.   Image via Chrysler.com

The Gladiator's powerful performance makes it one of the best midsize trucks to tackle your lifestyle's needs. Off-Road Readiness Naturally, this Jeep will be ready to forge its own paths. It's equipped with enough off-road features to let you explore more and worry less. The four-wheel-drive system each Gladiator comes with is designed to give you the best levels of traction on the road, paved or otherwise. For the highest-performing off-roading truck, go for the Gladiator Rubicon. It's loaded with gear such as locking front and rear differentials, rock rails, FOX shocks, and an electronic disconnecting sway bar to let you tackle rocky roads with ease. Driver-Assist Technologies Not only is the Gladiator tough, but it's also smarter than the average truck. The available drive-assist technologies help you stay safer on the road by improving your awareness. Blind sport monitoring looks out for vehicles in your blind spot to make changing lanes easier. The forward collision warning with active braking system scans the road ahead to detect possible collisions, and it will even apply the truck's brakes if you haven't done so. These smart features make navigating the world less worrisome, so you can focus on your trip. Multimedia The 2020 Gladiator's touch screen system keeps you more in tune with the world around you when you want to be. It's compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to let you use your favorite phone features hands-free. The premium navigation system keeps you on the straight and narrow. Look through your Jeep's cameras, listen to your favorite albums, control your truck's climate — the number of tasks you can perform with this system is extensive.
